Arbroath Royal British Legion Scotland Pipe Band is a registered charitable organisation affiliated to the Arbroath branch of the Royal British Legion In close co-operation with the Arbroath RBLS Branch Committee the band endeavours to promote the work of the Royal British Legion Scotland, locally and nationally.
The band is dedicated to furthering the great tradition of Scottish Piping and Drumming through education and demonstration and is committed to providing quality tuition in a safe, healthy and stimulating environment in which children; young people and adults can learn and develop the necessary skills to enable them to become proficient in playing the bagpipes and drums with a view to becoming full playing members of the band.
The band has an on-going programme dedicated to developing and encouraging band members to achieve excellence of performance through healthy competition. The Band is a Grade 4A competition band and regularly performs for civic, private and commercial events and functions. We are a friendly, fun-loving, family-oriented band dedicated to promoting fellowship, camaraderie and the enjoyment of playing good music. Our Band is dependent upon the commitment and dedication of our members and the volunteers who support the band. We have a pro-active Social Committee that organises fundraising and social events. The Band proudly wears the Ancient Lindsay tartan, and is the only British Legion Pipe Band in the County of Angus.
