The Grade 4 band was formed in 2007 after the promotion of the previous grade 4 band to grade 3B. The main reasons behind the formation of the new band were to accommodate the large volume of learners who were attending the band and also the adult members who were not quite reaching the standards required for grade 3. This effectively provides a stepping stone from learning to playing in grade 4 then hopefully grade 3. The band were originally placed in grade 4A however after competing at the end of 2008 at the World Championships and Crieff Highland Games an appeal was made to be placed in grade 4B which was successful and is where the band remain at the moment. There is a good mixture of adult and juvenile members in the band and we welcome anyone regardless of age or ability to come along to our practices.
