Barbara Stronach, President, RSPBA-DPA

President - Barbara Stronach

Barbara is a non-playing member.  She lives in Perth, and has been associated with the Branch since the late 70’s when her sons started playing the pipes and drums.

Rankin McWilliam, Chairman, RSPBA-DPA

Chairman - Rankin McWilliam

Rankin became involved with the pipe band world in the early seventies when his family joined the Strathearn pipe band in his home town of Crieff.  

He became a member of the branch in the early eighties and has been National Council Rep since 1994.

Paul McAndrew, Vice-Chairman, RSPBA-DPA

Vice Chairman - Paul McAndrew

Paul has played tenor drum with various bands within the branch over the past 25 years, and now competes with the City of Brechin Pipe Band, as do his wife and son.

Irene Black, Treasurer, RSPBA-DPA

Treasurer - Irene Black

Irene is a non-playing member.  She lives in Perth, and has been associated with the Branch since 1981 when her daughter started playing the pipes.  Irene took over the post of Treasurer in 1995.

Mark Clark, Secretary, RSPBA-DPA

Secretary - Mark Clark

Mark is the only non-playing member of his family, all of whom play either pipes or drums with the City of Brechin Pipe Band.  Mark became branch secretary in 2007.

Bruce Cargill

Music Board - Bruce Cargill

Bruce Started piping with Arbroath Royal British Legion under Pipe Major Willie Dickson.  He moved to Montrose Royal British Legion in 1996 under Pipe Major Willie Whyte and when that band folded he joined the City of Brechin pipe Band in 1998.

His playing highlights include winning the Grade 4B World Championships in 1998.

Currently Bruce is Pipe Sergeant with the City of Brechin Grade 4B Band, he has been a Branch Committee member since 2000, and has held the post of Music Board Rep since 2004.
